A Remarkable Evening at Darna Museum Celebrating Literature and Art

As part of the parallel activities of the Cairo International Book Fair 2025, the independent Darna Museum, founded by artist Abdel Razek Okasha, is hosting an extraordinary literary evening on January 30th at 6:00 PM.
This unique event celebrates the exceptional contributions of Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, the acclaimed Egyptian poet, journalist, writer, and translator, alongside two remarkable Tunisian novelists, Nesrine Moeddeb and Dr. Hanen Jennane. The evening will be moderated by Dr. Hussein Abdel-Bassir, an accomplished novelist, archaeologist, and the Director of the Antiquities Museum at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Honoring Ashraf Aboul-Yazid
The event will highlight the extraordinary literary journey of Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, described by artist and novelist Abdel Razek Okasha as a true cultural ambassador for Egypt. Through his impressive body of work, which includes 44 books spanning fiction, poetry, travel literature, and translations, Ashraf has established himself as a prominent figure in Arabic and global literature.
His works have been translated into multiple languages, including English, German, Korean, Russian, Persian, Sindhi, Serbian, and Turkish, showcasing his ability to bridge cultures through the written word. Among his notable creations are:
